The same build should work for Old Murk-Eye as well!

1st stage: Switch the arrow's direction and send your units towards the middle and claim the meeting stone there. You can use Whelp Eggs to snipe the Mountaineer, and Quilboar to gather the chests for you. Keep attacking the boss from the meeting stone, if possible claim the left side shield buff for your Leader, but that is not crucial as you can also just keep on spamming Sappers from the middle to go and explode on the Boss' face!. Just make sure the enemy doesn't get those shields! Keep claiming the chests, you can use Safe pilot or Quilboar to claim the left chest and also claim the defense buff there to prevent enemy units from getting it. Keep in mind that the enemy can play multiple of same units in row (see: Safe Pilot) so it will try to steal those away from you!

2nd stage: Take left tower first to gain access to the Gold vein on the left side. After that take the right tower. Sappers can claim towers with 1 or 2 runs (probably always 1 if you have the extra sapper talent), and you can further boost the push with Whelp Eggs (the Flame Burst damage is good and instant damage because of the poison floor.)

Once you have both towers, start pushing towards the boss. Drop Quilboar behind the boss to make him take the aggro. Use your other units to approach the boss meanwhile and take him out.


3rd stage: Rule #1 here is always keep mining! This stage is simple, try to outpace your enemy by claiming more of the switches. Safe Pilot can be used to snipe them under the enemy's nose, if you can time it correctly.
